Write for us
Prime Film Culture welcomes pitches about the cultural life of films: moviegoing customs, film memory, collections, audience conversation and the afterlives of movies. We value a fresh angle, precise scope and prose written for curious general readers.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the central question, why it matters to film culture, the shape of the proposed piece and what a reader will take away. Choose a distinct subject rather than a broad survey, and explain how you will separate factual context from your own interpretation.
Useful contributions
We consider reported cultural explainers, thoughtful comparisons, historical context and carefully framed personal perspectives. A pitch should be original, clear about its scope and free of unsupported claims. Do not send unpublished confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted.

Proposals are sent through the Contact page. Select the editorial question option and include a concise pitch in the message. Please do not send a full article unless it has been requested.
